WBJJA is focused on developing BJJ as an international sport, from recreational level to performance, driving the development of common sets of rules, safety regulations, structure, progression pathways and mutual exchange. BJJ is no different from other sports. For its positive growth, there is a need to support the grassroots movement of recreational athletics, alongside the creation of opportunities for a world class, amateur sports movement.
Some of the WBJJA’s objective is to gain international recognition for BJJ arts, to become member of GAIFS and to be one of the Olympic sport disciplines in the future, in order to give all BJJ athletes the platform and opportunity to fulfill their dream of competing on the Olympic stage. The most important goal it to make this sport a lifestyle.
